On the way to Chincana we saw Marka Pampa in the distance.  Marka Pampa is a little island off of the northern coast of the Isle of the Sun.

According to THE LONELY PLANET GUIDE TO BOLIVIA, 6th Edition, published April 2007, page 119, in 1992 stone boxes containing artifacts were found underwater just off its coast.  In August 2000 a massive stone temple, winding pathways, and a surrounding wall were found about 8 meters underwater off the coast of the island.
