After visiting Stela V, we continued walking back towards town until we got to Stela VI. Unlike Stela V, Stela VI faces east towards the main site of Copan. Stela VI only has a figure carved on 1 side; the west/back side contains only glyphs, just like the stela’s left and right sides. Curiously, the figure carved on the front of Stela VI has a turban headdress similar to the figure carved on the front of Stela I (Roman numeral “1”). Also, the figure on Stela VI seems a little stiffer than most of the stelae at Copan; more like the stelae at Quirigua.
I did not feel anything from Stela VI.
