I arrived in Guatemala City on time and was eventually transported with fellow group member Marilyn to our hotel in Antigua.  The hotel was kind of rustic and charming, so I took a few photos of it.  Both days we were in Antigua the weather was cloudy and overcast.  Barbara (another group member) and I walked over to the Cathedral, where we saw a beautiful sand painting on the church floor (which I was too sleepy to remember to photograph).  Later that evening we went to a nearby restaurant where almost all of the the group was present and enjoyed a wonderful dinner.

The next morning Mayan Elder Don Alejandro and his wife Elisabeth visited us, and Don Alejandro spoke to us about 2012.  What an amazing way to start a Sacred Site Journey!  Then we did our group introductions.  About an hour later we left for Lake Atitlan.
