Lake Atitlan is incredibly beautiful.  Like someone in our group said, it feels like a slightly smaller Lake Titicaca.  Peaceful, serene, with majestic mountains and volcanoes (pleasantly silent) surrounding it.  I loved it.  I wanted to stay here much longer just to hang out and look out at the Lake every day.

The morning the group went to the Chichicastenango Market I decided to wake up early and photograph the sunrise on the Lake.  I asked the front desk to give me a wake up call.  Unfortunately, they called the room next to me, waking up poor Frank and Astri.  Fortunately, I heard the call and woke up in time to photograph the sunrise.  Astri and Frank, I hope that these photos are worth that early morning wake up call!
