The Maya Lands

I have felt a connection to the Mayan people and lands of Central America since the 1970s.  I recall watching the CHARIOTS OF THE GODS movie in the early 1970s featuring some Mayan art and architecture.  In 1978 I visited the island of Cozumel with my family.  I recall buying a Quetzalcoatl carving, and my family getting a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC book on the Maya.  I subsequently went to college and then work and forgot about the Maya.

In 2002 I read a couple of books on crystal skulls which mentioned the Maya.  I followed these books with MYSTERIES OF THE CRYSTAL SKULLS REVEALED by Sandra Bowen, F.R. “Nick” Nocerino, and Joshua Shapiro (See the interview with Stephen Mehler on pages 125-127) and THE BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE: The Keys Of Enoch by J.J. Hurtak, which also mentioned the Mayan cities of Light: Palenque, Tikal, and Copan.  At that point I felt a strong desire to see these Mayan cities.  In the Fall of 2004 we met our friends Aluna Joy and her partner Raphael who travel to the Maya lands every March for the Spring Equinox.  We decided to join their group and travel with them for the March 2005 Equinox.  We visited Palenque, Yaxchilan, Bonampak, and Tonina.  I loved it.

Since that trip we have traveled with Aluna Joy and her partner Raphael and the groups that they called together to the Maya lands every March.  In December 2007 we traveled to the Yucatan.  I returned to the Yucatan in November 2008 and February and December 2009.  With Aluna Joy and her partner Raphael and the groups that they called together I have returned to Palenque in 2008 and Chiapas in 2010.   And I plan to keep returning to the Maya lands every year...
