Calakmul
Central Plaza
Temple IV
Stela VIII

According to the INAH Plaque accompanying Stela VIII (Roman numeral “8”), this stela is one of the most important monuments of the Central Plaza and dates to 721 A.D.  The hieroglyphic text records that Yukom Tok, who ordered the making of this stela, reached the status (age?) of 4 K’atun Ahau.  The text on the stela’s left face refers to an ancestor “Coiled Head”, who may be God K; this latter person seems to also be named on Stela XXXIII (Roman numeral “33”) of Calakmul.

Like the other stelae, I did not feel anything or any energy from this stela.
