Chichen Itza
Principal Plaza
Temple of the Warriors

After the Pyramid of Kukulcan, the Temple of the Warriors is the next most impressive temple in the main plaza.  Like the Pyramid of Kukulcan, the Mexican Government prohibits people from walking up the steps to the top of the temple. Also like the Pyramid of Kukulcan, the Toltecs built the Temple of the Warriors over another older Maya temple.

The basic layout of the temple fascinates me.  The Toltecs derived this temple from their main temple at Tula, the Toltec capital located near Mexico City.
