After visiting Becan again, we drove on to visit Kohunlich. Kohunlich looked and felt like a golf course to me. No real energy or inspiration; very touristy. The masks were amazing, but considering the size of the site (it is above average in size,bigger than Becan) I felt unimpressed.
According to the LONELY PLANET Guide to Mexico, 9th Edition, published September 2004, ISBN 1-74059-686-2, Page 941, Kohunlich dates from the Late Pre-Classic Period (100 - 200 A.D.) and the Early Classic Period (250 - 600 A.D.).
