Temple II

After visiting Temple IV, we moved on to Temple II.  Temple II was also mostly ruins.  I do not recall feeling anything about this temple.


According to the INAH plaque accompanying the temple, one of the Mayan elite probably lived in this temple.  The archaeologists suspect the Mayans also built this temple using the Rio Bec architectural style.  The archaeologists also believe that the temple was at its peak in 700-850 A.D.
