This November I visited various Mayan sites in the Yucatan with our friend and guide Enrique and William our driver and “diplomat”. In particular, we visited Ek Balam, Chichen Itza, Ake, Uxmal, El Tabasqueno, Hochob, Edzna, Dzibilnocac, Sayil, Labna, Xlapak, Kabah, the Loltun Caves, Oxkintok, and Dzibilchaltun. One thing I noticed about this journey was that the sites all felt peaceful. I felt a gentleness and stillness at all of the sites.
